I almost crapped myself when I heard the news that, Zack Snyder (One of the directors responsible for bringing 300 to life on the big screen.) has finished production on his latest Comic Book to Movie project based on the DC Comics comic book called: The Watchmen.
I have read the Watchmen and V for Vendetta comics and I am a big fan of the movie adaption of V for Vendetta. I have yet to read “From Hell” but I can highly recommend grabbing anyone of Alan Moore`s comics and giving them a read.
For those of you who do not know The Watchmen series it was written by Alan Moore who also wrote the cult classic “V for Vendetta” and “From Hell“. The basic plot of The Watchmen center around an alternate reality that closely mirrors the contemporary world of the 1980s. The main difference is the existence of superheroes. Their presence in this history has altered the outcomes of real-world events such as the Vietnam War and presidency of Richard Nixon.
Although the cast of Watchmen are commonly called “superheroes,” the only character in the principal cast who possesses superhuman powers is Dr. Manhattan. In the comic, they refer to themselves as “costumed adventurers”.
I found the following images of the characters on the official website so I combined them all in one for you viewing pleasure. On a side note I must say the DC to movie franchise looks a lot healthier than the Marvel to movie franchise. The movie are more “polished” and rounded off and more attention is given to the details.

watchmen é o melhor !!!
Anderson Ayres I cant agree with you more! :)
Ya just got done reading the watchmen and must admit that it was awsome, however Iam finding myself wondering if they’ll capture the sense of nuclear holocaust that the novel portrays?
I noticed the DC movies have been more serious than the Marvel ones. Deeper and darker. Can’t wai
Sam here Tr hence I enjoy them more :)
Just one question, since these guys are DC Heroes and one of them is a close similarity to Batman, guess we all know who in the Watchem it is (I cannot recall his name as to which one though)
Then why not, though I have heard if them, as have been a DC fan for as long as I can remember, have any of the Watchem Heroes had any association with other DC Heroes, such as anyone from the Justice League for example???
Because watchmen was a once off graphic novel and not a comic book series big difference there. And If you havent read or heard of the Watchmen then you grew up under a rock as a comic book fan ;)
