Remember the post I made earlier regarding the Nintendo game The Conduit, well it seems that High Voltage Software’s has finally gotten there act together and set a tentative release date for The Conduit. An official press release has been distributed today regarding The Conduit. According to the release, the game will be launching in Q1 2009. I must give credit to Nofsinger for going right against the grain, saying that:
“Too many Wii owners have been told that the Wii is a casual platform with no room for serious games or top-tier graphics,” said Eric Nofsinger, Chief Creative Officer at High Voltage Software. “With The Conduit, we intend to prove that theory wrong by providing gamers with the kind of title they imagined back when the platform was first announced.”
I think Eric Nofsinger hit the nail on the head. From the first time I had a Wiiremote in my hands, I knew I was in for a unique and involving gaming experience. So far there have been few games that fulfill that experience, and used the full potential of the Wii. Let’s hope that the team of High Voltage can deliver what they have promised us.
