Ninja Blade is an action adventure game set within modern day Tokyo. Parasites known as alpha-worms have mysteriously appeared, unleashing a wave of human destruction as they rapidly spread east, reaching the shores of Tokyo. With the future of humankind hanging in the balance, an exclusive and elite team possessing highly specialized skills is formed to eliminate the enemy onslaught, and ultimately save mankind from complete obliteration.

From Software has announced a new action game for the Xbox 360 called Ninja Blade, this clone of Ninja Gaiden will take place in modern day Tokyo. Keiji Nakoka, character designer for Lost Planet, and Norihiko Hibino, composer of Metal Gear Solid, Boktai and Zone of the Enders and storyboard & animation support by Production I.G will form part of the Ninja Blade development team. (Talk about a potent combination.) The game is being classed as a “cinematic action game,” meant to thrust the player into their own personal movie. Ninja Blade is slated for release on the Xbox 360 somewhere in late March 2009.

This game looks really promising though I have to say that the Ninja genre in gaming is currently pretty much dead, because of the poor quality of games being released these days. Not to mention that it has been used to death already, but having watched the Ninja Blade presentation movie I can safely say this is not a Ninja Gaiden clone. But rather a ninja flavored mix of frantic action and fight scenes that we have come to see in the Devil May Cry franchise, I will definitely be keeping my eye on this one. Check out the high quality presentation movie that was released on Monday enjoy!

OOh, seems nice. But kinda popped out of nowhere, will it be ready for March?
I am sure it would be ready before march as I am looking forward to it.
